Kerry Rich, Manager
Kerry Rich comes to WJIA as manager of the station with over thirty years of experience in radio broadcasting. Kerry started his radio career in 1968, while a senior in high school, at a small station in Centre, Alabama. He has owned and operated stations in Arab and Gadsden, Alabama and Somerset, Kentucky.
Kerry has served as President of the Alabama Broadcasters Association, served eight years in the Alabama House of Representatives and two years as Legislative Director for former Governor Fob James and over the years has been involved in a large number of community activities. He says being manager of WJIA is the most important job he has ever held. It is truly an honor to be in position where you can be part of spreading the Gospel.
You hear Kerry on the air a lot doing weather forecast, announcements of all types and is on the air with Mary Cody from 8-9 am Monday through Friday.
Kerry is a member of Hewett Memorial Methodist Church in Albertville.
